Recommendations from Beachwood Property Co-Host, Rachel
West Seattle has so many great neighborhood pockets - one of them featured in a lot of Seattle Movies is Alki Beach. Located roughly a mile North of the historic Beachwood property sits a famous stretch of restaurants, shops, bars with many beaches and parks to explore along the way. Here are a few of those food spots highlighted below.
La Rustica: A hidden gem tucked into a small residential neighborhood. Located across the street from Weather Watch park is some of the best Italian food in Seattle. A family owned restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Make sure to save room for their famous Tiramisu made fresh daily by the owner herself.
Cactus: Located on the corner of Alki and Beach drive, this casual yet Vibrant spot offers a delicious, Southwestern-Mexican menu & a long list of tequila drinks. This is a great spot for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.
Sunfish: Stop here for battered fish and chips with a great tartar sauce and view of the water. Simple and quick bite, a great first stop in trying all of West Seattle’s Fish and Chip spots.
Fire Tacos and Cantina: one of the newest spots on Alki known for their birra tacos and pitchers of frozen margaritas. You can't go wrong stopping in at this fun spot.
Il Nido: Make sure you get a reservation for this bustling Italian restaurant. Located in an old log cabin Il Nido is known for high end seasonal pasta with great wine recommendations and pairings.
Gyros on Alki: This place makes you feel like family. Delicious Greek food with generous portions and flavor.
Harry’s Beach House: hip spot with my favorite french fries in town and a great supporting menu. A perfect place for date night, brunch with friends, patio hangs, basically for any occasion.
Alki Spud: Serving up delicious Fish and Chips panko style. Great to pick up and walk across the street for a beach side meal. Don’t forget the Clam Chowder here is always a great option.
El Chupacabra: The music is always on point and the atmosphere is a great place to celebrate a Tuesday with a taco or come late night for a killer happy hour. My favorite spot on the Beach for good, come at me.
Duke’s Seafood: Casual upscale seafood restaurant with some of the best clam chowder in Seattle.
Christos on Alki: Family owned pizza shop brings you back to the 90s with a great mixture of greek and italian food. Greek hospitality at its finest.
Blue Moon Burgers: A patio that is tempting all seasons. Steps away from the beach, Blue Moon has a burger for anyone. Accommodating to food allergies this place serves delicious burgers and sides. Customize your own order or pick from a list of suggested options.
Marination Station: Hawaiian fusion. Great spot to dine in on the patio or grab a bite before jumping on the water taxi on your downtown adventure.
Salty’s: is known for a few top notch things … the breathtaking views both day and night, the indelible Sunday Brunch and Thursday night deals on fresh Oysters. If you are looking for an upscale seafood restaurant with a great view of downtown seattle. A great cocktail and fantastic service make sure to stop at Salty’s.
